तीर्थ १२ – एक यात्रा

प्रिय मित्रों, आप में से कई पाठकों ने मेरे राजनैतिक गतिविधियां व उससे सम्बन्धित प्रवासों के बारे में मेरे ब्लॉग पर लेख पढ़े होंगे | परन्तु आज जिस प्रवास के बारें में मैं बताने जा रहा हूँ, वह अत्यन्त विशिष्ट है – और मैं बहुत अरसे से इसके बारे में सोचता रहा हूँ | अर्धांगिनी के सौजन्य से – व ईश्वर कृपा से यह इच्छा कुछ ही दिनों में साकार होने जा रही है.. पिछले कई वर्षों से मन में यह विचार था की भारत-वर्ष के अद्भुत पुण्य-स्थलों में से कुछ के दर्शन हों सकें..समय का अभाव सदैव खलता था..और इसी तरह यह इच्छा भी कई और इच्छाओं के साथ मन में दबी रही..
लगभग २ वर्ष सोचा के क्यों न इस मनोकामना का रुपान्तरण बारह ज्योतिर्लिंगों के दर्शन के साथ किया जाए? लगभग दो महीने पहले इस अभिलाषा ने रूप लेना आरम्भ किया..
दिसंबर माह की बारह तारीख (१२-१२-१२) को यह इच्छा साकार होने जा रही है |
यह द्वादश-ज्योतिर्लिंग तीर्थ यात्रा मेरे लिए अविस्मरनीय रहेगी.. इसमें मुझे तनिक संशय नहीं है | शंकर भगवान का भारतीय परंपरा व संस्कृति में एक विशिष्ट स्थान है | महादेव, महेश्वर, विश्वनाथ, देवों के देव, त्रयाम्बेक्श्वर, महाकाल, मल्लिकार्जुन, केदारनाथ, त्र्यम्बकेश्वर अन्य देवताओं से भिन्न है..यह भोलेनाथ हैं..निराकार निर्गुण ओंकार भी हैं, अनंत शिव हैं, अर्धनारीश्वर, आदि-शक्ति के प्रतिबिम्ब हैं..भगवान नीलकंठ, परम योगी, सदाशिव उस युग के प्रतीक हैं जब मानव प्रकृति के साथ संयम में रहता था. शिव की महिमा अपार है..
प्राणीमात्र का कल्याण करने वाले भोलेनाथ सभी के लिए सहजता से उपलब्ध हैं, सरल हैं, सहज ही प्रसन्न भी हों जातें हैं |
इसी महादेव के सानिध्य की आकांक्षा से इस यात्रा का प्रारम्भ करूँगा..इसे तीर्थ-यात्रा कहना अनुचित होगा.. क्योंकि न ही मैं कुछ विषेश परिश्रम कर इस यात्रा पर निकला हूँ.. न ही मैं कावड़ियों जैसे कठिन पदयात्रा पर हूँ और न ही मुझे विषम परिस्थितियों का आभास होगा..पर मन में आस्था के साथ जा रहा हूँ कि दर्शन अवश्य होंगे..व जिस महा-संग्राम की तैयारी में मैं लगा हुआ हूँ, उसके लिए महादेव का आशीर्वाद साथ रहेगा..
इस यात्रा का प्रारंभ प्राचीन पुण्य-स्थाल काशी से कर रहा हूँ |
काशी विश्वनाथ के दर्शन कर के, हजारों किलोमीटर की इस २१-दिवसीय यात्रा पर मैं दस प्रान्त, अनेकों शहर व कस्बों से गुजरूँगा..यद्यपि अनेकों यात्रियों की अपेक्षा अत्यन्त सुगमता से प्रवास करुगा, तथापि यह प्रयास रहेगा की इस विशाल राष्ट्र की साधारण दैनन्दिनी की कुछ एक झलकें देख सकूं |
इस यात्रा के दौरान आप में से कई मित्रों से मिलने की इच्छा है..साथ ही यह भी प्रयत्न रहेगा की वर्तामान राजनैतिक व सामाजिक परिस्थितियों व समस्याओं पर आप में से कुछ मित्रों के साठ बैठ कर चर्चा हों सके | निम्न स्थानों पर आप में से कोई भी अगर हों, तो मुझे बताने का कष्ट करें – निचे टिपण्णी लिख कर अथवा ईमेल द्वारा..इसके लिए मैं आपका आभारी रहूँगा… साथ ही इस यात्रा को सुगम बनाने के लिए कुछ सुझाव हों (स्थान विषेश अथवा समय-सारणी से सम्बंधित) तो अवश्य लिखें. मैं आपका आभारी रहूंगा |
इस तीर्थ व यात्रा के संस्मरण को एक पुस्तिका में बांधने का भी प्रयास रहेगा..आपकी शुभेच्छाएं व बड़ों के आशीर्वाद की अभिलाषा के साथ,

Tirth 12 – A Journey
Regular readers of the blog are aware of my regular outreach events and visits to different parts of India..but the next trip I am planning is very special – and something that I have been thinking of for a very long time. Thanks to helpful sponsorship from my soul-mate and divine generosity, this wish is soon going to turn into a reality..
For several years now I have been thinking of doing a tour of sacred places, a kind of pilgrimage across India..But there was never enough time..and like many other “dreams” this too remained buried, deep within the recesses of the mind. Almost two years back, I thought I should perhaps start such a tour with a visit to all the 12 Jyotirlingams that literally span the country
And so it is that on 12th of December 2012, I begin “Tirth12” – my “yatra” to all the Jyotirlingams across India..
I am sure this will be one of the most memorable journeys I have every undertaken. I am very much looking forward to it.
Bhagwaan Shankar has a special place in Indian culture and traditions. He is MahADev, MahAKAl, Maheshwar, MallikArjun, Tryambekshwar, VishwEshwar, and KedArNath. He is at once BholeNAth , NiraAkar, Nirgun OmkAr, SadAShiv, ArdhanArishwar and a divine reflection of Adi-Shakti. BholeNAth is also known for being easily accessible, simple and easy to please. I am leaving on this Yatra with the fond hope that I can get closer to this divinity.
It would not be right to call this a “Tirth Yatra”. For one, I am not practising any austerities on this journey, neither am I putting myself through any physical ordeal or hardships (think Kanwariyas).. But I am going with deep faith in my heart..and in the hope that I will have divine blessings for the “Long War” that I am preparing for.
I will be beginning this Yatra from Kashi..and will conclude it after 21 days of journey through ten states, several towns and cities across thousands of kilometres. Although I will be travelling in relative comfort, I do hope to get glimpses of daily life across this vast land during the trip..
I hope I can meet some of you during this visit..I will also be trying to see if we can have any informal meet-ups during the Yatra. This is my rough itinerary..If any of you are from any of these places (or are familiar with them), pl do let me know.. Tips to make my journey more interesting and/or easier would be greatly appreciated. I hope to put together memories and reflections from this visit in the form of a booklet..so stay tuned.
